Sara Lambrichts was born on October 24, 1994 in Sint-Truiden, Belgium. She studied Biomedical Sciences at Hasselt University and Maastricht University and obtained her Master’s degree in 2018, after which she worked as a research technician at the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Maastricht University. In 2020, she started working as a PhD student on the CRUCIAL-EU project ( https://www.crucial-project.eu/) at MHeNS, Maastricht University at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology and the Department of Neurology. Her research focuses on microvascular rarefaction as a possible common mechanism between the progression of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and vascular cognitive impairment in an animal model of comorbidities.
