Paula Leonhardt obtained her Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Maastricht University in 2023. As part of this, she completed her Master thesis internship at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, conducting research on the effect of microplastics on the airways.

She now continues her work on this project as a Research Technician at the department, working within the MOMENTUM Consortium for Microplastics and Human Health.
