Luping Chen finished her master’s project themed on the mechanism of gut microbiota targeted non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) intervention by herbal compounds at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2023. After her master study, she started her PhD program in Maastricht University. Her PhD project is to investigate the role of Aryl hydrocarbon Receptor (AhR) agonists in Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and metabolites derived from gut microbiota.
