Milou Hendriks started her bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Health at Wageningen University and Research in 2017. During her bachelor, she also followed a minor in Neuroscience at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She continued her master’s in Nutrition and Health, specializing in molecular nutrition and toxicology. In October 2023, she started working as a PhD candidate at Maastricht University within the department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Her project focuses on investigating whether nicotine present in the oral and nasal cavities can activate the brain’s reward system and how different nicotine concentrations in these areas can influence smoking behavior.
