Stefan Reinhold studied applied and molecular biotechnology at the RWTH Aachen University (Germany). In September 2017, he finished his master thesis with the title “Cloning, expression and purification of recombinant Hepatocyte Growth Factor with a tPA-restriction site for the guided migration of mesenchymal stem cells in the context of tissue engineering” at the Institute for Pathology and the Biointerface laboratory at the University Hospital RWTH Aachen. He started his PhD in October 2017 at CARIM, Maastricht University at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology as part of the INTRICARE network. His research mainly focusses on the role of different signaling pathways in vascular smooth muscle cells and macrophages during the development of vascular calcification.
